The Red Hook in London is over. It was another well run race, especially seeing as it was the first time London played host to this event
Most qualifying heats were marred by crashes which resulted in many stops during the sessions. Unfortunately riders can’t seem to contain themselves, ride within their abilities. A good rider should progress to the final with an ok lap. Risking a intimate encounter with the hay bales is not necessary. There are also times when it just all goes wrong because we’re humans.
The finals were a lot less eventful in the crashes department, there were maybe two, nothing major. This time around I managed to escape that drama and made to make it through to the end. I finished in eleventh place, Raul in tenth, keeping Leader Bikes as the top placed US team in the championship rankings.
