Fyxation will hold its first annual fixed gear criterium in Chicago, IL on July 26th, 2014. This high energy fixed gear only criterium will be held in conjunction with the Chicago Criterium on day 7 of the Prairie State Cycling Series Intelligentsia Cup and will be held just prior to the men’s pro main event at 5:50PM. Each rider will receive a commemorative Fyxation Open T-shirt and will be eligible to win over $1500 in cash, prizes and race primes from Fyxation and a host of other sponsors including Chrome Industries, All City Cycles, Red Bull, Nutcase and Abus.

Nick Ginster, co-founder and general manager of Fyxation was quoted as saying, “Partnering with Tom Schuler and his team at the Prairie State Cycling Series has been a great experience and we’re confident the event will be a huge success. Not only are the race organizers great at handling race logistics, but being able to work side by side with professional cyclists and national cycling champions have added a great rider’s perspective when planning the Fyxation Open.”
